Guest: Masuda Takahisa

Normally the guest is introduced after Koyama and Ktarou's intro talk, but this time Masuda introduced himself right after Koyama first did so.

Recently, Koyama and Shige went to the beach together (just the two of them). While Koyama was telling Massu about it, Massu's only response was "mm" after everything he (Koyama) said.

So far this summer, Masuda has swam in a pool, and gone to a festival, but he still hasn't gone to the beach.

Ktarou mentioned Masuda's clothes. He's known for telling the other NEWS members that he got a super cute such-and-such article of clothing, but when they actually see it, they're disappointed. Today he was wearing a t-shirt and vest.

Uda Uda News Request Special
As explained last week, Koyama has taken requests from listeners about what they want him to record the other members doing. Last week he read a bunch of requests, and this week we get to listen to some of them!

(1) Theme: In a car.
You can hear car noise (I guess), and music?
Koyama: There's a bug!!
Massu: Woah!

Koyama explained that he was trying to get Massu's reaction at seeing a bug, but that since they were in a car his reaction was different from usual. Apparently if he's told that there's a bug around, even if they're just making it up, he'll freak out. He said that he reacts that way more because he was suddenly told it, not because of the possibility of a bug.
Massu keeps some shoes outside on the veranda at his house, and recently he looked over there and heard a cicada over by his shoes. He hit the window in an attempt to make it go away, but it didn't. So he closed the curtain and gave up.

(2) Theme: Backstage.
Koyama: Let's all sing! I want to hear (KinKi Kids') "Anniversary"!
Masuda and Tegoshi start singing. And Koyama starts adding random words.
"Oh, Massu!"
"Teach me!" (in English)
"Oh YEAH!"
At the end, Massu said "DUN DUN DUN"

Massu said that because Koyama requested the song in such an unnatural way, he felt like there was something weird about it, which is why he added the random noise at the end.

(3) Theme: In the make-up room.
Some talking I can't understand, then Koyama announced that a Kchan News listener wanted to hear a one-shot gag by Shige. Everyone cheered! ...I can't understand what anyone was saying, but I'm certain there was NO gag in there, haha.

...when it returns, I have NO idea what they're talking about. But Koyama wrapped up the segment and gave the address for postcards.

Masuda Takahisa no Stop The Masuda
Continuing from the previous weeks, Massu uses the time to teach girls about..something. In Masuda's case, swimming!
He started swimming when he was three years old! No wonder he's so fast! His older sister swam, so that's why he started. But at first he didn't want to get into the pool. The style he's best at is the crawl. He tried giving some tips on doing it, but he was vague and unhelpful.
Koyama asked him what kind of bathing suit he wears. It's like a diver's suit, but only the pants part. (But shorter too? I'm imagining the type they always wear on Ya-Ya-yah but maybe it's different). Trunks aren't good for swimming, because they slow you down too much. At one point, the swimming school he went to had a thing where the students jumped into the pool with their clothes on and tried to swim, I guess to show how hard it is. "So, if you fell out of a boat, you wouldn't be able to swim." . . . Really, there wasn't a point to the story...
He was told to give advice to people who can't swim. "Let's swim together!" Basically he just said that for people who can't swim at all, to just get used to being underwater. "If you don't understand, I'll teach you♥" As usual, what Massu was trying to say was a bit vague and didn't really come across well... Massu tried to say that HIS corner was easier for girls to understand than Tegoshi's (about soccer) and Kusano's (about Dragonball), but even Koyama couldn't understand it!

Masuda's "homework" was to figure out how to talk better about swimming. The show is collecting puns about NEWS. This day's quiz question was: NEWSで一番の食いしん坊ニックネーム「マッスー」と言えば、誰？ (Speaking of NEWS' biggest glutton, with the nickname Massu, who is it?) This one was even easier than last week's! Masuda commented that the easiness was rude to him, since the question was basically "Who is Massu?"
