Theme: Uda Uda Special (aka pajama party unaired segment show)
Since the show is a late-night program, Nino brought up the fact that they don't have much of a budget. In order to increase the budget, Arashi (minus Nino of course
) are to do side jobs. Ohno is to put fliers into envelopes, Jun has to fold and put underwear into packages, Sho has to package tea bags, and Aiba has to make books of color samples. Apparently Sho likes to do stuff like that.
A no Arashi (World of -50C Episode)
In -50C, does the smell of "kusaya" freeze!? (Kusaya is apparently a type of really smelly fish). Outside the freezer, they opened the package to make sure it smelled before freezing it. Sho got some stink on his hands and smelled it, then Aiba did, and made gagging sounds. Sho's prediction is that the smell will disappear; that things smell when they're warm. Aiba: "Ohh, it's like a social phenomenon?" . . . Sure, Aiba. After two minutes in the freezer, they smelled it, and..it still smelled. So they left it 20 minutes, and it froze into a fish block.
Aiba: *smells* Huh?
Sho: *smells* Huh?
Both: It totally..
Aiba: Doesn't smell! / Sho: Smells! (same time)
Aiba smelled it again and agreed with Sho.
Can you do hairstyling with water in -50C!? Sho's prediction is that you CAN! They got a poor staff member to brave the cold while they wet his hair. It worked! ...which was expected, so that's why it wasn't aired originally.
Back at the pajama party, Jun's made Ohno trade jobs with him, and Nino's walking around with a squeaky hammer. They start playing a word association game.
Jun: Ohno Satoshi - Leader
Ohno: Leader - Satoshi
Nino: *smacks Ohno with hammer*
Backwards Series (Backwards Contest Episode)
Nino, Ohno, and two staff members played "darumasan ga koronda" backwards. (It's a game where one person faces the other way, and the others run towards him, but he can turn around at any time [after saying "darumasan ga koronda"], and if he sees you move, you're out. The goal is to get to him before the others do, without getting out.) The score it got was 8 out of 20.
Next (not as a part of the contest) they did a scene where Nino received a balloon from Ohno-the-clown, but he accidentally let go of it and it flew into the sky.
Back at the pajama party, Ohno's doing well with the underwear, and Sho has a bunch of tea bags already. They took a break with a quiz! "What is this~?" It showed pictures of various things, and they had to figure out what they were. Since I can't show the pictures, I'll just tell what everything was. (1) Mole cricket [Sho] (2) Mosquito larva [Jun] (3) Flying squirrel [Ohno]
..then they went back to the show and showed a clip from when they went to Australia. Ohno had to go into some old abandoned-looking building, to look at bats. He was afraid they were going to eat him! So when a group of them started flying, he ran out screaming like a little girl.
Back at the pajama party, Aiba's now folding underwear, while Ohno's back to his envelope stuffing, and Jun's making the color samples. Sho's the only one who's kept his own job! They do more "What is this~?" quiz. (4) Lactobacillus bifidus [Aiba; how the crap did HE know that? LOL] (5) Lactic-acid bacilli [Sho] (6) Zaasai [Jun; it's some kind of Chinese cabbage that's pickled] (7) The last question gets to be 1,000,000 points LOL. It was a picture of an umbilical cord! [Ohno]
So Ohno won with 1,000,001 points *g*
More A no Arashi
If you use a big cup in a string telephone, does the sound get louder? The voice got smaller, because the cup was like..paper all taped together or something.
Results of their side jobs:
Envelopes: 214 @ 2Y each = 428Y
Underwear: 61 @ 3Y each = 183Y
Tea Bags: 146 @ 3Y each = 438Y
Sample Books: 38 @ 6 each = 228Y
Total: 1277Y.
Because Ohno won the quiz, he got to decide what to do with the money. But..they didn't tell us..
