----------------->What does it mean?
Noodle refers to Japanese noodles, as opposed to pasta (like spaghetti or gnocchi). "gumi" means in Japanese "gang" or "group". So it translates as "Noodle Gang". It's not such a bad term as "gang" is in English. It is used for referring to home class rooms in schools and other common things like that. (EX. Class 3-D at school would be said "3-nen D-gumi".
----------------->The Birth of the Noodlegumi
The Noodlegumi came about because of one such noodle, now referred to as "ramen" and two other noodles now referred to as "Udon" and "SOBA". ramen had decided that she should nickname herself ramen when making a website in order to remain anonymous. Udon and SOBA later decided they wished to remain anonymous as well, and decided to follow suit in naming themselves after noodles. We all thought this was quite amusing, and one thing leads to another (you know how these things go among friends, don't you?) we decided it would be fun to all name ourselves after Japanese noodles, since we are hanging around each other so often. And thus it would seem like a large gang.
----------------->History of the Noodlegumi
At first our ranks were small. Although we decided everyone should be named, not everyone was named right away. It took some research of noodle names to find enough of them, since we are a group of 13+ (or more?!) people. Slowly, names (and also nicknames) were chosen. Not all our names come from just the noodle names themselves. Some of us chose actual noodle dishes to be named after. Like yakisoba, etc. Some of them are quite original and fun!
After we all got our noodle names, we simply just had our nicknames and existed as we usually did. One day, we decided it would be fun if we created a place where we could all chat as one large group in a secret place on the internet. Then sometime recently, it came as an idea that since alot of us wanted domains and websites, that we should just pool our assets together and create a domain. We had always wanted to do "group" things and put them on the internet, but it had never come to fruition. This site is also a way for us to make these projects come to life!

Our goal is to entertain you with the many skills, assets and charms that are of the noodlegumi selection. We offer solo websites, created by each members themselves. And then we offer group projects. We hope to have lots of fun and to share our ideas with the world, whoever may be crazy enough to dive into our world! Hope you have fun here!
